Why are you called CreateFirst?
Because we create first and get paid second. The videos go live, the creators post, the orders come in, and only then do we invoice. It's the opposite of how agency retainers usually work, and it's the whole idea behind the business.
How are attributed sales measured?
Any TikTok Shop sale generated by a creator we recruited or a video we sourced, including sales driven when those videos are used as ads. We invoice monthly from TikTok Seller Center reporting, on the product value after discounts, excluding shipping, and less any returns, refunds or cancellations. Returns recorded after we've invoiced are credited on your next invoice. We're paid on the same basis your creators are.
What do we need to provide?
Free product samples for the creators we recruit, enough stock to fulfil orders, and a creator commission rate set in TikTok Shop. You also handle customer support and order queries, unless you've added that as a bolt-on. We'll recommend a commission rate for your category during set-up.
What's the minimum term?
Your first 90 days are commission-only, with a minimum of £1,000 a month in ad spend from month 2. After that the plan continues month to month on the terms below, and either of us can end it with 30 days' notice.
What's the platform fee from month 4?
Your first 90 days are commission-only. After that, there's a £500/month management fee covering creator sourcing we run on your shop, but you pay the fee or your 10% commission, whichever is higher, never both. Any shop doing over roughly £5,000 a month pays commission only. If your shop is below that by month 4, we'll have an honest conversation about whether TikTok Shop is right for your product.
Is the £500 set-up fee refundable?
Yes. If we don't deliver 30 creator videos within the first month of your shop going live, we refund the £500 set-up fee in full, no conditions. If we do hit the guarantee, it's credited against your first commission invoice, so it never costs you anything on top.
What happens if you miss the video guarantee?
Your £500 launch deposit is refunded in full, and we keep sourcing creators at no extra cost until the 30 videos are live. If we do deliver, the deposit is credited against your first commission invoice, so it never costs you anything on top.
How do orders get fulfilled?
You fulfil orders the way you do today. We can plug your TikTok Shop into your existing shipping or 3PL provider, so TikTok orders flow into your normal fulfilment process rather than needing to be handled separately.
Who pays for ads?
You do, directly to TikTok or Meta. Ad spend isn't included in our fees, and we ask for a minimum of £1,000 a month from month 2. GMV Max ads management is included in the plan. Meta ads are available as a bolt-on.
Who owns the videos?
Creators own the videos they make and post them on their own accounts. Videos can run as TikTok ads with the creator's authorisation, and wider usage rights, such as running them on Meta, are negotiated through our ad usage rights add-on.
What happens if we stop working together?
For 12 months after the contract ends, our commission still applies to net sales from videos and creators we sourced.
